Your voice matters

Last municipal election, only 27% of voters showed up to the polls. That means that some elected officials were chosen by as little as 13.6% of the population! When so few people are shaping the future of our city, our democracy suffers. Municipal decisions impact our housing, transit, parks, roads, food systems, public spaces, and daily quality of life. 

So, whether you vote for me or not, please just vote. Democracy only work when everyone participates! Find more info below.

How to vote

Voters can bring one piece of ID (PHOTO ID IS NOT NECESSARY) showing name and Ward 5 address, such as a bank statement (including a digital copy shown on your phone), residential lease, utility bill or piece of mail. 

 

If you do not have standard proof of address, you can still vote by vouching on oath that you are a resident.

Where to vote

The next municipal election is October 26, 2026. Polls will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Advanced polling will occur on the following dates: 

  • October 10th and 11th, 2026 at City Hall (1 Carden Street) from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

  • October 12th to 15th, 2026 at City Hall (1 Carden Street) from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ​​​​​​

 

Generally, you can expect to vote at local libraries, churches, schools or, for some, by mail! 

Support is appreciated in all forms!

Donating is a great way to have a piece of ownership in the campaign by voting with your dollars for the type of leadership you wish to see in Guelph!
